A1 Lock and Key

Initially called to have my lock replaced on my security door. After sending pics of my lock, it took 2-3 days to get a definitive response as to how we could go forward in replacing and repairing my lock. I was told the lock was a custom lock, and had to be ordered. I was never given a time table or an estimate as to how much it would cost to replace or when it could actually be replaced. After calling several times over the course of 2-3 weeks, I was finally notified my custom lock had arrived and a technician would come out to replace it. Mind you, I had no direct communication from this company itself, I had to take initiative every step of the way to find out any bit of information as to what was going on with my “ordered” lock. The first red flag. When Adam finally got out to my residence, he was able to unlock my broken lock but notified me the ordered parts were the wrong ones, and that it would have to be reordered with the correct parts. Well, I received the same lack of communication and care as I did before. Never heard from Adam and had to literally call or text once or twice a week to get any sort of update. Which I was told, “the part is ordered, we haven’t forgotten about you” every single time. Well it’s been well over a month now and I still haven’t heard from Adam about anything about my lock so this is why I’m leaving this adverse review. I chose this company because of the reviews in hopes someone could help me because as a single parent, I couldn’t afford to keep calling locksmiths out to my residence, charging me $40-50 only to tell me they couldn’t help me -which was my experience prior to calling A1. I seriously hope no one has this horrible experience with this company as I have, and I hope going forward Adam and his team at A1 communicate better with their costumers as to the true status of what is really going on.

Went here to get a key copied dec 20th it didn't work called the next day the guy said he was at the doctor's so I called the next day he said he was at the drs. Then mention he would not be back till tues so I had went to ace and had a key made for a 1/4 of the price and went on tue to get a refund the guy got mad and started yelling in my face saying(let me explain the policy to you we dont give refunds )I asked if he could make a exception because the key was made wrong he came over to me and started yelling something about keeping the business owners in business I asked him to stop yelling at me and did give the money back because of the holidays it was closed till the 26th of december the owner is very raciest. there were three customers I was 2nd in line and another came in he made me wait till last he made commet when the first customer was leaving wishing him a "merry christmas or happy quanza or something like that" so being the only dark skinned person there I took it personal, I just laughed . Ive lived in clovis all my life racisiam has gone to new heights .just horrible so this has been a nightmare I will never go back and I do not recommed this this place to anyone . maybe he's been there too long like all the antique stores and all the bars clovis has . this town will never change (sad)
